Mobius Loop: When Artists Choose Values Over Streams

Recorded live at Vegan Campout 2025, Anant sits down with Mobius Loop, the duo Alex and Rose Orion, joined by drummer Sean, Alex’s brother, after their set on the festival’s solar stage.

Alex and Rose describe a creative partnership built on shared purpose: music as a vehicle for animal liberation and spiritual connection, from improvisation inspired by ancient sacred spaces to their daily philosophical discussions.

They also explain their decision to remove their music from Spotify. In their account, CEO Daniel Ek’s investment in AI drone weaponry through Helsing, where he is chairman, put the platform at odds with their anti-war message, so they moved to Bandcamp and Tidal. They close with what’s next: an anti-war album and a dedicated vegan album.
