Killing Machine vs Burning Machine – What’s REALLY Causing Climate Collapse?

Anant speaks with Dr Sailesh Rao, Executive Director of Climate Healers, who argues that the climate movement is focusing on the wrong problem, in the wrong order.

Dr Rao breaks the crisis into two forces: the ‘burning machine’ of fossil fuels and the ‘killing machine’ of animal agriculture. In his view, cooling the planet fast means shutting down the killing machine first. He sets out his reasoning: the inefficiency of meat production, the role of deforestation, the ‘carbon opportunity cost’ of land use, and why he believes stopping fossil fuels overnight could increase warming in the short term.

He also shares his vision for ‘Planet B’, a redesign of human systems around Earth’s life-support systems, and what he believes individuals, governments and businesses must do now.
